How to use a purchased song from iTunes as a ringtone for a friend. Is this possible? Been trying for ages.

So on an iPhone a song from the App Store which I purchased cannot be used as a ringtone to identify the caller???
This was available on my Samsung Galaxy phone!!
Then get a Samsung device.
