iTunes download library errors

I'm trying to download my music library on an old computer to use as Network Available Storage (NAS) with my Bose SoundTouch app; I want to stream old holiday playlists on my wireless speakers.

When I download my library, iTunes encounters errors, presumably files that are no longer available or corrupted in some way. Instead of skipping them, iTunes interrupts the entire download process, preventing me from downloading the other 6,000+ songs that I own. (Seems intuitive design went out the window when Apple wanted to make money off its music streaming service.)

Other than "deleting" the song in my library, is there a way to tell iTunes to skip the download errors and continue downloading available files? If the music and video files that are generating errors become available again and/or the corrupted files are fixed, I'd prefer not to lose media files I paid for.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide. Be safe and happy holidays!

When downloading from your purchase history you may find it helps to click the activity widget and disable the option for simultaneous downloads. Do you have either iTunes Match or Apple Music? If so see Identify cloud status icons in your music library on your Mac or PC - Apple Support. You cannot download content that wasn't successfully matched or uploaded, so anything that says waiting or error should probably be removed. Hopefully you have the originals backed up somewhere.
