Your iPad Air 2 is over 6-years old, now!

It is possible your iPad's rechargeable battery is failing.

You will need to call and make an appointment with your nearest, “local” Apple Store for device diagnostics and options.

An iPad replacement, in lieu of an actual battery replacement from Apple, is $99 U.S.D., plus tax.
