macbook pro screen cleaning

I accidentally used an all-purpose cleaner on my macbook pro 15" screen and it contains sodium carbonate so it might have been slightly alkaline (pH 7.5-9). It doesn't look like there's any significant damage to the screen but why do they recommend not using household cleaners/window cleaners for cleaning the mac screen? Is there some hazard that can occur? What kind of glass is used on the Macbook pro 15" screen?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Just as an off-chance do you happen to know what kind of glass/coating was used on a MacBook Pro 15" from mid-2015? That is the vintage of my MBP.

Thanks!

That Mac in particular had a anti glare coating that has proven to be problematic

Anti-reflective coating failing , affectionally known as 'staingate'

The 2014 and 2015  MBP was especially bad

The unofficial repair program was for four years from date of purchase.

There is no Apple HT or official service program.
