The standard mail application notifies me of an unread letter that does not exist.

The situation is very strange.

The standard Mail application suddenly began to notify me that there is an unread letter. I go to the "inbox" - empty. I leave the "inbox" again and receive a notification about an unread letter.

At the same time, if you put a read letter in the inbox, then the application starts working correctly and notifies only about actually received letters.

Can anyone come across or even have a solution? In support of apple, nothing but a reset to factory settings was advised.

I deleted the Mail application, turned off the synchronization of mail with icloud, overloaded the phone, did a full reset to factory settings, rolled up a backup copy.

Nothing helped.

Here is a link to the video where you can clearly see how this happens.

here is the solution

- go to mail via the web.

- send a letter from another mailbox to this

- wait for the notification of a new letter

- "read" it on the web.

- the notification in the app should disappear

- delete unnecessary letters
