new mac mini startup

I have a new Mac mini and when I turn it on I get a picture of a magic mouse instructing me to turn it on. When I turn the mouse on the picture on the screen. There doesn't seem to be any way to move to another screen.

Nagware window preventing my setup I'm trying to set up an old Mac Mini with a new keyboard and mouse. I have logged in ok with the wired keyboard, but a window has popped up from an app that was on trial, wanting me to buy a license or quit. I can't do either as the wireless mouse isn't paired, but the window is obscuring the system preferences window so I can't pair the mouse using the keyboard. Is there any way to close this window without buying a wired mouse just for this one little click? I can't even be sure it's Mavericks this thing is running because this nagware windowis over the About This Mac window as well.

screen only says looking for keyboard and mouse When starting up Mac Mini M1 for the first time the screen only display that the mini is looking for keyboard and mouse. What should I do??

First start of Mac Studio with usb keyboard and mouse does not work So this brand new ultra expensive Mac Studio is just sitting here being dumb, thinking it can't find a wireless keyboard AND wireless mouse. Well, the wireless keyboard is powered on and produces a sound when I hit a key. And the wired USB mouse is plugged directly into its USB port and moves the cursor around the screen. Yet it still sits there on the initial startup screen that alternates between showing a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse. What kind of idiotic design is this? How do I make this work like a normal computer and use the peripherals that are connected to it? One would think that a computer would be a lot smarter than this. I'm extremely disappointed. This was not a Steve Jobs-type design decision, that much is clear.

I didn't quite get that sentence. Anyway, try to reset SMC and PRAM. Or use a wired mouse to get things started, also disconnect all unnecessary peripherals and extra displays.
