anybody done this? How is the experience? What about picture quality? Is better buying a good oled 4k tv as external display? Can anyone tell the diference having checked this two options?

I do and I'm pretty pleased. I have a 2020 27" iMac that I use to watch TV app content on, it's just 30' from one of my 4K TVs and I enjoy using the computer when my wife is watching something else on the TV.
Picture quality is excellent, after all it's a 5K display!

Your welcome. BTW, if you get AirPod Pro's the sound is really good when you play content through there. Why have a great picture and just fair sound with the standard speakers?
