iphone 12 promax does not dial out

why does my new iphone 12 promax does not dial out but it receives calls? My old phone is still here and working. Do I need to disable it somehow?

i had to call ATT and they said I didn’t have a SIM card. They had to deactivate the old iPhone X and activate the new iPhone 12 Promax. It worked. Thanks again for trying to help me. I am sure the nod works for another phone.

Transfer the working SIM card from your old iPhone to your new iPhone 12 Pro Max. That will move the active cell service from your old iPhone to your new iPhone.

At present your new iPhone is able to receive calls and probably send/receive texting is because of WiFi Calls and Texts Forwarding from your old iPhone.

After you move the SIM card to your new iPhone and things do not work perfectly (5G connection if your provider supplies it) then do not hesitate to call your carrier for further help.
