Lynnbo44,
Thanks for getting back to us and for verifying that information. We recommend to remove and re-add your printer to see if that helps. Here's how to perform each step:
Please let us know if that helps.
Cheers.
Hello Lynnbo44,
Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to print the first and last name of contacts on your Mac. We'll be happy to help
What happens, when you attempt to print the contacts? Does an error message appear? If so, what does the error message say? Just to be sure, let's follow the steps outlined in this helpful article: Print mailing labels, envelopes, and contact lists in Contacts on Mac
We look forward to hearing back from you.
Kind regards.
Lynnbo44,
Thanks for getting back to us and for providing that information. To isolate this issue further, we recommend to log into another user account on your Mac or create a user account. Then, see if you can print the names of your contacts without any issue. This will help determine if the issue you're experiencing is user specific or system wide. If needed, here's an article on how to create a user account on your Mac: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac
Best regards.
Lynnbo44,
We appreciate your effort. This might be related to a login item. We suggest to remove the login items on your user account that is exhibiting this behavior. When you remove the login item, you can test and see, if you can print the labels without any issue.
Here's a helpful article on how remove login items: Remove login items to resolve startup problems on your Mac
If these steps do not help, we recommend to contact Apple Support to review this further. You can contact them through this link here: Get Support
Cheers.
I followed the steps outlined in article as you suggested and it does not resolve the problem. No error messages appear when attempting to print the contacts either. Contacts are printed with the LAST NAME 1st & the 1st name LAST. (Last name, first name). I have tried everything I can think of without the problem being solved. Thanks for your suggestion tho....Lynnbo
Thanks for your suggestion. Tried it and my husband's user account will print labels with 1st name first; last name last. Mine still won't. :-(( So hopefully that gives you more information to solve my printing problems!??? Let me know what's the next step....thanks. Lynnbo
Great suggestion which I hadn't thought of. Wish it solved the problem but no luck. Any other ideas?
I removed everything and still have the problem w/nothing added back. :-(( I will follow up with Apple support when I have more time. thanks. Lynnbo44
