HomeKit notifications when iPhone is in Bedtime do not disturb mode

I've recently set up several HomeKit enabled security cameras with security zones and notifications. Everything is working as expected. I receive notification if motion is detected after a certain time, just like I set up in the Home app. But I'm wondering if notifications from HomeKit are exempted from the do not disturb mode like favorites in contacts.

If HomeKit security devices notification are blocked because of Bedtime do not disturb, then that defeats the purpose for having them. What would be the suggested workaround?
