Keynote won’t insert videos (cannot decode)

I try to insert a video in keynote, and it doesn't allow me, saying that it cannot decode. The video is a .mov new video taken from my iPhone 1 week ago. I tried different combinations of the "optimize" options in preferences to see if that fixed it, but it didn't. I tried with another video, to see if this particular video is the problem, and I still can't. I have the late Macbook Air with MacOs Catalina 10.15.6. I appreciate if somebody can help me. Thanks

Hello airamalajab,

We see that you're running into an issue when you attempt to add a video into Keynote on your Mac. We'd like to help offer some support to help with this problem.

Are you going through the steps in this guide when you try to Add video and audio in Keynote on Mac? If not, follow these steps in the same order they appear and check to see if this helps resolve the issue.

If the issue resumes, you may want to contact Keynote support directly. You can do so by visiting Get Support, and clicking the Apps & Software option.

Cheers!
