Charging/Battery Life issues

My Apple Watch series 4 started having issues holding a charge yesterday. Now tonight, it’s sitting on the charger, cycling between the charge screen, Home Screen, and black screen with white apple logo. I’ve checked to make sure it’s sitting flat on the charger and I’ve checked to make sure it’s up to date on software. I tried a hard reset this morning and it doesn’t seem to have done anything to resolve this issue.

it was fully charged this morning around 7am and by 10am it was completely dead.
