Upgrade to AppleOne, move files to new iCloud

I currently hav 2TB of storage for family. I want to sign up for AppleOne to keep 2TB, but not lose the pictures I have in the original storage plan. Will it automatically transfer or do I manually have to transfer to the new apple one storage?

There is nothing to move. Apple’s system simply throws a digital switch to allow your account to use more space. Your files are not touched or altered on any way. iCloud is a cloud system - one huge pool of storage space. All subscriptions are doing is changing a setting on your account to set whatever new quota you’ve subscribed for in that massive storage system.

No file you have in iCloud is copied, moved or touched at all in the process of simply increasing your storage quota.
