I bought this program with an older AppleID. However, I have updated my Apple ID to reflect my current email address. I have no problems updating all other apps from App Store but only Final Cut Pro keeps prompting me to type in the password for my older Apple ID. Right now, I can't use Final Cut Pro since my iMac has been updated to Big Sur. Please help me out... Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I was able to get in touch with Apple Support and resolved this. I haven't used the old Apple ID in a decade but the stored password for that ID was sitting in the keychain access app. Phew. Not sure what Apple Support could do if I didn't dig that up... Happy Holidays!
If the application is registered under the original Apple ID, you would have to contact App Store support to try to resolve this. If you remember the original Apple ID and password you could of course use that.
