Should I get the Otterbox Symmetry MagSafe or the Defender?

I’m having a hard time deciding on which otterbox case to get for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max

I had the Defender for my iPhone 7 Plus and loved it. Indestructible

but it looks like the only otterbox MagSafe case is the symmetry which doesn’t look nearly as durable.

I’m guessing that maybe the defender is too thick for the current to pass through? 

any advice? I’m very clumsy and drop my phone constantly but MagSafe seems like a great feature. I’m looking at the belkin MagSafe mount for my car. However I already have Qi wireless chargers and power banks
