Wrong info on reasons declined
It said "you have recently been past due" - but that isn't the case at all - my transunion credit report shows 100% pay on time. - anyone else with this issue? Plus have a 700+ credit score

Apparently, the banks have deeper info than what you may see on your credit reports. I don't know how deep Goldman Sachs does for the Apple Card, but they didn't see my 1 late payment in 2013. Even with a low score, they approved me last year and recently after a year of unblemished activity, they gave me a credit line increase.
Just last month I was challenged by the 1 late payment in 2013 which does not show in my credit report - but that bank could see it and asked me about it.
After they saw my 740 score, they reconsidered given the circumstances, they approved me for a VISA Signature card for $10K.
Just goes to show you that banks have more info at their hands than consumers....
Ya know - it was only yesterday that TransUnion DELETED an account from my credit report following a dispute I filed that had a handful of past due from 2016 - so do you think the system hadn't updated yet? Because there are no accounts with any past due amounts
And if it is deleted from my report - they shouldn't be able to see it, right?
Thank you - appreciate the time and insight - I'll get all this sorted!
While your consumer copy of credit may show 100%, the banks are able to pull more data than what you see.
Goldman Sachs uses a different algorithm than other traditional card issuers such as income, iCloud account and other soft pull data.
You should call them to review what is exactly causing the declined application.
