How do I set up Mail for my child on his Apple Watch Family Sharing?

Yes you can. If you created an Apple ID when setting up the watch - example@icloud.com - them he should be able to click on the mail button on his watch and send and receive messages at that email. I did that for my daughter. Then I went into my mail box on my phone and added her iCloud account to mine so I can keep track of her messages. We just tried it and it worked.

Alright, I'm pretty @%#$% to now be discovering all these ways Apple have absolutely crippled the Apple Watch when set up using Family Sharing.


So my kids cannot use any other mail accounts besides iCloud?

And they cannot subscribe to any other calendars, like their class calendars using Outlook? (yes, this school-at-home is a complete joke, but it is what it is)

And they cannot even use the Outlook app?


I bought these devices for my three kids for Christmas, with the reasonable presumption that they weren't rendered nearly useless by a series of gratuitous decisions to hobble them. What a joke.


If I cannot find solutions to this by month's end, I'm going to return these within Amazon's holiday return period.
