How can I upgrade from Mojave to Catalina in December 2020?

How can I upgrade from Mojave to Catalina in December 2020? Due to many music related apps that I use which are not yet compatible with Big Sur, I do not want to upgrade my Mac which is now running Mojave to Big Sur, I want to upgrade it to Catalina. I need to do this in order to use Logic Pro, which says that it does not support Mojave when I try to purchase. I am in a Catch 22 as I cannot find a download of Catalina anywhere in the app store. Please help!!

@kathleen783: make sure you are using Safari when you follow that link. It seems the link fails when using any other browser (I ran into the exact same problem that you are describing when I did this yesterday). Switch to Safari and it should work as expected.

That said, upgrading from Mojave to Catalina has been a complete disaster for me, and I'm wishing I had not done it. So bad that I'm contemplating abandoning Macs entirely (after using them for over 30 years) and switching platforms. Make VERY sure you are ready for all that Catalina will bring to you (it's a lot). You have to click on the link while in Safari, other browsers won't work.

I am in a similar situation to the poster (working with software not yet compatible with Big Sur). The link you just posted opens up the App Store. When I click "Get" it takes me to Software Update, and then I get a pop up saying the upgrade isn't available. Is there any way to download it not connected to Software Upgrade?
