IN APP PURCHASES, GETTING RIPPED OFF
Hello,
I belonged to an app called "Big Fish Casino". I spent a LOT of money on that app over the past 3-4 years that I was playing it. Recently, their odds were just getting so bad that I would spend over a thousand dollars a week playing "Online 'Non-Poker' ".
I am retired and am okay on money, that is not the issue. The issue is, like I have done so many times before, I would write into the app support and complain about the odds and the amount of monies that I spent, and they would "give me a boost of chips" (usually around 140 million chips). I bought $99.99 packages which were anywhere between 90 million and 120 million "chips".
Well, about two weeks ago, I was talking to support telling them I lost all of this money (which was the truth, I had about $13 BILLION, and had lost it, and also bought another $1,000 USD "REAL MONEY") in just a short amount of time, like over the course of two days.
They took what I had said literally hundreds of times before and twisted it into "this guy has a problem---let us kick him off the site". They did not say that, but they did say that my account was blocked, gave me some literature to read about the fun part of gaming and the "not so fun part of gaming" loosing.
My problem is that not only did I still have some chips left on my account, AND it was a Tuesday, the day when all the clubs get paid (another 40 million), and then at the beginning of the month I would get a couple BILLION chips because I had bought so many---so the residual loss is incredible.
If you were to put it at $100.00USD real money equals 100 million chips, we are probably talking in the neighborhood of $4,000 to $5,000 USD real money, that I lost. So I took the last few days of when my account was active and noticed that I had purchased five packages in one minute a few times..NEVER could I have done that! It is impossible---it takes too long, the longest I could ever go was 3 purchases at one time, which takes over a minute.
So I a saying right here on Apple that not only did they add purchases that were not bought, but they kicked me off a site that I had a lot of money coming from, and I am just finding out that they denied me 50 $99.99 purchases real USD.
So is there another appeal through Apple or do i just have to go through my credit card? Apple has way way too much power, and I am afraid that Apple will bow over my CC company, and they will not issue it through my credit cards either. It would be easy for them to prove, but they will not even talk to me at the APP. Big Fish Casinos is in the middle of a Class Action Law Suit of which I am a part of, and I guess I should just start up another one, because these monies will not be included in that one.
I have to say that it is getting harder and harder to stop a subscription or fix an issue with Apple. I am not blaming anybody about me loosing that much money. It was stupid of me to purchase chips that I could not possibly win anything...that is on me. What I AM angry about is that when they cut me off, that was it---all of my friends in my club (club of 60 people, 30 of whom I have known for a long time), and on a day where we were to get paid for our weekly club payouts. Yes, I definitely was owed some monies, and Apple just denied me every single one of the last three days worth. And i know for a fact that they added some purchases in, simply because I kept records of every time I purchased, whether or not it was three at one time (where I would not have to enter my username and password every time). It shows right on there the time down to the minute---NOT the second, like it used to, and I just looked back now and it does not show anything, just their logo, no amount, no time, no date---just the logo.
Any suggestions or should I just chalk it up to live and learn? I am getting old---so you youngsters out there that read this...be aware, I used to think Apple was a good company, but it seems like everybody I know is having an issue with an "In App Purchase" recurring payment, or trying to stop it is like the twilight zone.
Anyways, Thanks for Listening,
Mark B
