I do not have the option on my MacBook Pro for Software Update under System Preference. I go to the App store, click updates and it says version 10.13.6. My Adobe Lightroom will not open unless I have 10.14 software; however, my computer won't let me update. Help, please! TY
Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your MacBook Pro is a 2012 or newer model, download Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur through the links provided. If not, that version of Lightroom isn't compatible with it.

Thank you - My MacBook Pro is 2017. I'm on the MacOS High Sierra currently. Do you know which version would be best to run Adobe Lightroom? Do you know why this happened? Will I run into this again?
1. The most-recent version which is compatible with your other software.
2. Those are full-version upgrades and won't show up in the Updates tab.
