Pairing Apple Watch with new phone

I got a new phone because my other one broke in an accident. My watch was paired to that. I’m trying to pair my new phone with it but It won’t let me because I couldn’t remember my Apple ID password so I made a new one. Now it won’t let me turn my activation lock off

Apple Watch—Activation Lock I’ve recently got a new iPhone due to my old iPhone being stuck in recovery mode and not coming on after a week of trying to get it back on and sending it to the Apple store. I’m trying to pair my old Apple Watch to my phone and it’s asking for an activation lock Apple ID and password, which I forgot. How can I pair my watch to my phone?

You are going to have to recover the old Apple ID to be able to remove Activation Lock from the Watch. If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support
