I noticed recently on my iPhone X that after I edit my photos the edits get distorted once I save them. They look completely different. I also noticed that the photo is slightly blurry before I click “edit” on the photo before I start editing. It’s extremely bizarre and also frustrating. I thought maybe it was a storage issue? But I cleaned out some photos and it’s still doing it. Very odd...

It sounds like your photos are distorted after you edit them, and we're happy to help. Does this issue occur with multiple types of photos?  If you haven’t already, please try restarting the iPhone:
If the issue is still present, please back up your iPhone before proceeding:

Once you have backed up, you can reinstall the iOS software using these instructions:
If you can’t update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and setting it up as a new iPhone:
