iPhone Trade In Question

Can I trade in iPhone if I erased my phone before removing it from my iCloud List? ( I did this by mistake -- the directions did not clearly state I needed to remove from iCloud list BEFORE erasing. Now that it's erased, I can no longer find it on my iCloud list!)
