Birthdays in Calendar are off by 1 day. Solution?

When I add a birthday in my contacts, it shows up on my calendar, but it adds one day. It's super annoying. I've searched the threads and have seen a lot of people complain about this, but I haven't been able to find a solution that works. I've seen and tried the recommendations of changing the settings on time zones, but that didn't solve it.

Any ideas?

Hello mokiatl,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

We understand from your post that when you add a birthday to your contacts is shows up in your calendar a day later than it should be. If you have multiple email account set up on your Mac, set the default for contacts and calendar to iCloud.
