How to view unread mail on Mac Mail app?

Hi,

Wondering is there a way to add unread mail mailbox to macOS Mail app as well, like there is one for iOS. Not to sort mail by unread, but to add a mailbox, to check unread mail when needed. Wasn't able to find how to add it (and if it even exists) myself.
