ext hd requires password
I moved an external HD from my desktop to my laptop, and now when I want to move/erase/etc. any file on it, it asks for my password.
how can I remove this?

Select the external HD icon then File > Get Info
If there is an "Ignore ownership on this volume" checkbox, select it. Click the "lock" icon to authenticate.
