Magic mouse too sensitive but also scrolling too slow

Scrolling with Magic Mouse on my 2020 iMac 27" is way too sensitive. Especially in MS Excel and Word (Office 365). I am continually finding that the cursor has moved in the middle of typing.

WizardMark:

First, when it comes to scrolling speed and troubleshooting issues you will want to follow Apple's advice already posted here. However, if once you have everything working properly you would still like to reduce the scrolling sensitivity, ScrollGuides (our first app on the Mac App Store) can help you with that and more. The biggest drawback being that if you use multiple pointing devices (such as a trackpad and a mouse) both will be impacted.

Hope this helps,

Hi WizardMark,

We're happy to help with your Magic Mouse being too sensitive. You can adjust the tracking speed of your mouse to resolve this trouble you're having. Get started here:

If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't working with your Mac as expected

The guidance you need is listed under "Your mouse or trackpad doesn't track as expected". Feel free to reach back out if you have any questions.

Have a great day!
