Fitness+ “pairing cancelled”

I have all the current updates, and I keep getting a “pairing cancelled” error message. It is keeping me from using fitness+. Has anyone else who’s experienced this found a way to connect? Using Apple TV 4k with series 5 Apple Watch.

Apple doesn't tell you this but you'll need to enable Two-factor authentication on your Apple ID account. Otherwise the TV and Watch won't be able to communicate.

Actually, you can also fix the “pairing cancelled” problem by adding your Apple TV to HomeKit. Check out this article...

same issue, Apple TV 4K and series 5 Apple Watch.. "pairing cancelled" error as well. My wife's watch works great, and she is on the shared Apple One account...
