Recovering content with only knowing apple ID

How do I see if I've EVER created ANY kind of backup just by entering my apple ID? We have so many devices, accounts, exceptions, apps - it would be nice to at least know if I made a backup of my content but stored it only locally on the last iphone?

I know FOR SURE I made a backup because I got laid off and knew in advance. I also know I was paying for ICloud storage because I have receipts month by month.

Since my icloud is not full, how could I possibly make backups and now not have them?
