iPhone 12 Pro Max still has green tint screen after updating to iOS 14.3

I‘ve been told by that Apple has been aware of the issue and will roll out a fix for it.

However, I updated my iPhone 12 Pro Max right after iOS 14.3 was released. But the green tint issue still exists; pixels seem to glow green instead of going to completely dark in low-light environment. Is this a hardware issue that Apple cannot fix? Or Apple prefers to recall all the devices a year later.

Green tint appears on my device with below settings:

  • Cold winter: lower than 0 degree celsius when I'm jogging outside my house.
  • Dark mode.
  • Adaptive display.
  • Low brightness: around zero brightness.

Look forward to Apple's reply on this.

Guys I actually tried something that worked out for me. I’ve had the green tint since day one and it was very annoying, specially at night time while watching videos. My green tint was horrible, like as bad as it could get.

I simply tried turning off True Tone & night shift and, problem was solved. I don’t know which one of both options fixed it because I turned both off, and don’t even want to risk turning any of the back on, but it immediately corrected the green tint and it has been days and no sign of it.

And when I say my case was a bad one, believe me. I had read all the forums looking for a solution, all the comments on videos to see if some one had a fix and nothing.

I don’t know if this will be a solution to everyone because I don’t think it could be such a simple fix and no one say anything about it, because I have not read of anyone propose this as a solution, but it was for me.

ust wanted to update on what got it fixed for me and hopefully this will help some of you guys out.

I see this green line always but only if I open the YouTube application on my iPhone 12 pro and start a dark video, and increase or decrease the volume .. when the volume bar appears this green line appears that I hate .. more increase the brightness and more you can see .. for the rest I have no problem with green tint but only the classic yellow calibration of this year's iPhones that we all have .. if I open YouTube from safari the problem is not there because the volume bar has a different graphical interface .. I don't understand if it's a bug on all iPhones because it's a YouTube bug or just mine.

Whomsoever said that green tint has been fixed for them in latest 14.5, can you check in the same way as shown in the above quote.

Let us know, if you can replicate it.

Guys It isn't fixed. Theres a youtuber icecool tech who always talks about it on twitter and said he's gonna make another follow up video since he's had problems with it as well. he just tweeted both his parents apple watches (S4 and S5) have severe green tint while he has it on his S3 all on watchos 7. he thinks its hardware still since his second replacement display is perfectly fine but then theres that watchos 7 thing.

Yes it isn’t fixed yet i updated my 12 pro yesterday to 14.6 and still happens like Christmas tree on and off greenish while watching a video or looking on a picture with black background whenever i touch my finger it flickers and while watching a video always flickers and that pretty visible on a 50% brightness in a dark room , i’m really so upset 😭 what’s the solution for that how long we should wait !!!

The only solution is just replace all device that has issue I think, it doesn’t look like display issue (it can still show true black physically) nor software issue (it’s not fixed thru so many update and some have it some don’t ). Maybe it’s other part of the phone? And as long as apple didn’t announce this issue, they gotta just keep replace ur display only which didn’t fix at all.

I don’t think it’s hardware cause iphone 11 had such problem and it was fixed by an update , plus as for me i don’t have the green stuff very flushy it’s little flashes very tiny green on a black background check yours on a 50% you can see it i don’t think your replaced one doesn’t have a tiny flickering not the big green check and you will see that i’m right all phones having same problem all around the world 🌍
