How to quickly select next photo to what has just been deleted?

Hi Guys,

I am using arrow keys in Photos to select group of photos and quickly delete them. The issue is that after I do this pressing right or left arrow key brings be right to the beginning or the end of an album rather than to adjacent photos to the ones that have been deleted. I don't want to use a mouse or trackpad to select a photo again - any workaround?

Thanks.

There is no help for it. When you delete a photo from an album, the first photo in the album will be selected. This highly inconvenient, but we can do nothing about it, but sending feedback to Apple with a feature request (Feedback - Photos - Apple).

As a work-around - mark the photos for deletion by assigning a keyword "Delete" to the photo. You can define a keyboard shortcut for this in the Keyword Manager > Edit Keywords (type a shortcut letter into the small field for the shortcut). The Keyword Manager panel has to stay open while you are assigning keywords, or the keyboard shortcuts will not work.

When you have finished to mark the photos for deletion, set the "Showing Only" filter in the upper right corner of the Photos window to "Showing only: Delete" and you can select all photos marked "Delete" at once by selecting the Photos with ⌘A. For example:
