Do not disturb mode

Why do callers hear a busy tone when they call me while my iphone is on do not disturb mode? They used to hear a ring which I liked bette. Now people are gonna know my phone’s on do not disturb mode. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m from the Philippines btw so it doesn’t go to voice mail ‘cause we don’t have those.

iPhone XR, iOS 14

Hi AttyPotato,

We understand your calls are going to a busy sign when Do No Disturb is enabled. We're happy to help. Since you are located in a region that does not have VoiceMail, in Settings > Do Not Disturb > Allow Calls From, will show you the calls you have chosen to allow while the feature is enabled. If you do not have 'everyone' selected, then any calls outside of the option selected would receive the busy signal. More info can be found here: Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Have a great day!
