privacy settings password

I am unable to unlock the privacy settings on my mac

I have tried using my Apple ID password and my profile password and they do not work

I then went to general security and privacy settings and changed my password and then it didn't accept that password

Is it a result of the new update big sur 11.1

before this update I could just use the finger print scan to unlock it
