Final Cut Pro X External USB Camera

The Apps Facetime, System Preferences, other apps all see the builtin MBP Camera, and the two External Web Cams - Except FCP X and IMovie.

FCP/iMovie only see the MBP Builtin Camera.

I have a Logictech C922 and a new AverMedia Live Streamer CAM 313. I'd tried the USB 3 ports on MBP, and via an OWC USB C Dock via both device's native USB B. FCP/iMovie behave the same.

Is there a sys command to override to explicitly add a camera to FCP X? What happened to all the settings?

Also why can't I add/edit my own Sound devices?
