How do I cancel auto-renewal of apple tv?

I just got a notification that my apple tv+ subscription (free trial) will renew in 2 months. I want to continue my free trial, but not forget and get charged to renew.

Shouldn't this be an option? I don't want to renew and I don't want to subscribe for another year. I barely use it, but just enough to not cancel right now.

1) renew for $4.99 a month

2) subscribe for $49/year

3) cancel free trial (lose access to apple tv+ immediately)

where is option 4) do not renew subscription (continue watching until february 2021)

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem like it is an option according to Apple Support. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039

They recommend that you simply wait and cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You cannot cancel auto-renew and keep the service.

Option 4 is only available if you are already subscribed.

If you don’t want to lose it by cancelling now, “so you don’t forget”, just set a reminder. If you have an Apple device you can ask Siri to remind you: “Cancel Apple TV Plus” before it’s set to end, at least 24 hrs prior to expiration date.
