Can anyone help me adjust a photo so I can put it on my desktop? Thanks!

My desktop picture won't change I keep trying to change my desktop picture but it won't change from the Mojave Night one. Can anyone help me? I want it changed to a picture I have. It won't change and I've tried every way I could think of to change it.

What are the pixel dimensions of the image?

What art the pixel dimensions of your screen?
