where's my dock?

woke up to no dock! how do I restore it please

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

To change Dock appearance, choose Apple menu, then System Preferences, then click Dock (or Dock & Menu Bar).

Check System Preferences > Dock to make sure it's not set to automatically hide. You can also try typing "killall Dock", Return, into the Terminal. You can also try restarting your Mac.
