iPhone/iPad connected to M1 Mac mini, iPhone/iPad apps cannot be used and installed from app store, I tried re-install iPhone/iPad OS, reset all, it does not work. iPhone/iPad cannot install apps from App Store even the Apple store/Apple support app. and app installed on iPhone/iPad cannot be used. This happens when iPhone/iPad connected to M1 Mac, then click "get started" on "Mac finder-locations-iPhone/iPad interface".

There are several threads on this problem. This seems to be the latest, but I have one observation to make that I have not seen elsewhere which leads me to think that the trust permission allows the M1 Mac to do something unfortunate with the App store on the iPhone, rather than the apps themselves.
I noticed when my M1 MB Pro (11.1) and an iPhone XS (14.3) went through the trust process for the first time when I was syncing music, the App store stopped working properly. The offered updates to some apps commenced, seemed to complete then was reset as available. This was stuck in a cycle. Those apps that had finished updating would not launch. Apps which had not been updated continued to work normally.
This only happened after permission was granted for the phone and M1 Mac to trust each other. Prior to that moment the App store on the phone was working perfectly, happily offering and completing updates to apps that were perfectly well behaved after being updated.
My conclusion was that the M1 Mac was interfering with the App store app on the iPhone which in turn was corrupting the apps it was working with.
I erased and restored the phone from an iCloud backup and added the music content from the Music library which I had copied over to an Intel Mac to sync it to the iPhone. The XS had no contact with the M1 Mac. When all this was completed the phone was working perfectly again; the apps which had failed to launch were launching and usable.
Other posters have commented that Apple is working on this problem but for now the XS isn't going near the M1 Mac.
good to hear. I've yet to try it again since I've been pretty busy and have no time yet to risk another factory reset and restore. I'll probably have to do it soon since a lot of you are saying it fixes it.

Yeah, deeply disappointed. Just deactivated a Windows computer for a Mac mini. Hooked up My iPhone12 Pro and does nothing but charge. No sync, no nothing. This is a critical mistake for a rollout of this type. What was worse is that the last version of iTunes trashed all my Gracenote photos. Noticing that Apple S/W, which was once the lynchpin for the iPhones, iPads, iTunes and Macs are being shipped with obvious bugs.
The latest message is Apple Software Dept. is doing the research! So...just wait... Hope do not let us wait too long.
I am experiencing the same inability to sync my iPhone xS plus-1 with mail, contacts, Messages on Mac Mini M-1. This needs to get fixed quickly!

at the moment iPhone and iPad won‘t be connected to the M1 at all.
Here I give friends an update message from apple official, still being under research!(Jan 18, 2021). I guess this issue related to M1 chip, really a hard nut to crack!
Plug in a USB external Hard Drive to move files off iCloud. Over many years I have had better results with Western Digital Hard Drives.

Not yet. Latest on my case in engineering is still investigating, and asked me to try iOS 14.4 and Big Sur 11.2 when it's available, which should be soon. I'll let you know what I find.

Just checked and my M1 Mac is showing in iCloud, so could just be a random thing
got 2nd-level-support yesterday. We recreated the issue, saved log-files from the iPhone and transferred to apple. They will contact my the week after next. I'll stay tuned.
Not tryed yet, but it's on schedule this week. Hopefully it contains a bugfix...
I just updated my M1 MBP to Big Sur 11.2, iPad to iPadOS 14.4, and the issue is still happening for me. Updates did not seem to help.
