Airpod Pros not being detected via Bluetooth on Dell laptop running Windows 10

I have a new Dell Latitude 5510 running Windows 10. I am trying to connect my Airpod Pros via bluetooth, and the Airpods never show up in bluetooth as an available device. They work with my MacBook Pro (of course), and my Dell laptop detects other devices via bluetooth. The problem, for me, is that I have to use a Dell for work (no choice for me). I'd like a set of good wireless earbuds that work on both Mac OS and Windows platforms. I thought Airpods were going to be this solution.

Is there any firmware update for Airpods that solves this, or is this just another bipartisan issue that neither conglomerate (Dell or Apple) ever plans to address?
