Removing all files from an iMac running High Sierra
I want to remove all personal files from an old iMac running High Sierra. How do I do this, without interfering with my new iMac when I reinstall the OS?

If you intend to sell or give away the old Mac please follow all the steps in What to do before selling or giving away your Mac. Take these steps AFTER migrating to the new Mac.
