The computer sees the Epson printer but doesn't connect. I've tried changing printer cables, uninstalling epson driver and reloading it, restarted everything, changed usb ports and all I'm getting is swear words when I continue.

Are you using the latest drivers?
Also, if there is a problem with USB, you may want to test an Ethernet connection (for example, to a LAN port of a Wi-Fi router).

I have exactly the same problem. 3880 will print test page but nothing else. I have updated all of the IOS software and Epson software. Tried USB and ethernet. Printer dialog box finds the printer but will not print. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Big Sur 11.1. Driver is current. I uninstalled old driver before installing new version. I was concerned about cable but I just turned on old iMac, plugged in same cable and the printer worked. Back to new computer and still nothing. I have reinstalled big sur also. I did try direct connect ethernet cable with same results.
