I don not have a hotspot option in settings. What should I do?

They are wrong. It is a carrier feature. They probably need to re-provision your account, assuming you are supposed to have that feature...
Call them back and escalate the call until you get someone who knows what "re-provision" means.
What can we do if we don't have a hotspot bottom
