When I plug in my phone it says out loud in a computer voice:
"You plugged me in the wrong way. Self destruct sequence activated - 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1"
Then when I unplug it says
"Countdown terminated, your family is safe."
What in the world?????

It sounds like you may be running into an issue with charging your device.
