I am trying to install Big Sur. After hitting agree, a message appears that asks for my Password as an administrator. I type in my password but nothing happens. The dots shake back and forth as to let me know it is incorrect. I have no other password. How am I to continue the process?
I had yesterday the same problem. After Big Sur installation my Admin password did not work anymore.
Solution found. Hold down the on off power switch more than 10 seconds and a reboot restarted the computer and everything is now normal. Old Administrator password works normally!!!!!!!!!
You are an admin right?
Sys Prefs>Users & Groups, does it say admin under you name?
