I changed the password on my sons phone at his request. Now it keeps saying it is wrong. I attempted to restore the phone since I can't get back in to it. That failed. I need help!

Read the Apple Support document about what to do "If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled". Click here --> http://support.apple.com/HT204306

You will have to erase the device and set it up again. You can restore from a backup on a computer or iCloud.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - https://support.apple.com/HT204184

If it isn't working then you are not successfully getting it into Recovery Mode. Try again. Hold the power and home buttons down for quite a while to get the connect to a computer display on the device.
