UNiDAYS doesn’t verify American teachers?

I’ve been trying to help my mom get verified so she can buy an iPad with her educator discount for literal DAYS. After some back and forth UNiDAYS have sent this:

Hi xxxxxxxx Thanks for contacting UNiDAYS. We are unable to continue with the verification of your account as we do not currently support teachers in your country. We are currently working with our Partners on widening our reach and hope to support more Countries in the future. Thanks, Yasmin UNiDAYS Support

I don’t mean to sound like an ugly American, but Apple IS an American company. You all seriously don’t support American educators? Or did we just hit the jackpot with useless support people at UNiDAYS?

I've never used Unidays to verify when purchasing through the education store here in the US. Are you sure you're in the US store and not one for another country?
