ios 14, iphone 12, pictures embed instead of attach

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. It sounds like you wanted pictures attached in email instead of embedded.

You can review this page: Add attachments to an email on iPhone however, there isn't a setting for attachments. Generally photos will embed unless they are extremely large. They then may use Mail Drop: Mail Drop limits. Otherwise, it's dependent on the settings of the receivers email if they are seeing attachments or embedded images.

Thanks for getting back to us. You may see a picture embedded in your iOS email that you are sending, but that is not necessarily how the receiver views it.
