m1 macbook air or mac mini

Of course the reviews of the MI processor are awesome. However, shortly after I bought the Mac mini and was awaiting shipment, the posts of wireless / bluetooth issues started circulating. I had this knot in my stomach and decided to cancel my order. I havent worked in a MAC ecosystem for a while. My previous employer was more compatible with a windows ecosystem. Now Id like to migrate back. However, i have followed a few threads on issues and work arounds. I am left feeling that this product should not have been released given these issues. I feel bad for buyers who are struggling and trying to make this work. It shouldn't be this way right out of the gate. Apples silence is not reassuring. I need a product that is fully functional in an almost all wireless environment. If/when the issues are resolved, my dilemma is mac mini or macbook air. M1 or intel versions? Ive become accustomed to using laptop connected to an external monitor and docking stations throughout the office. I love the portability. At first I was thinking mac mini. But now im inching to macbook air. anyone have thoughts and or words of encouragement about how the M1 products issues will be resolved? REgards.

These are new entry level Macs so if you are power user, 4k/8k video editor or professional that needs high end graphics then wait for the next iteration.

The M1 has been perfect with me - Mini base - has replaced both my 16" MBP and i7 Mini Server.

Love the dual display capability that the Air/Pro does not.

I don't use wireless network as I don't like lag/collisions.

My M1 Mini is hardwired to Ethernet and gets the full 1Gbps speed without the ups and downs of WiFi.

Because WiFi is turned off, I am able to use BT wireless KB, Mouse, and headsets without an issue.

If you are totally portable, then go with the Air.

Just be ready to change your wireless to 5GHz only to avoid BT interference on 2.4Ghz.
