New Apple Watch SE Not Showing new Cardio Fitness and not accessing VO2 Max data

Hi

I have a New Apple Watch SE. Im unable to obtain the new Cardio Fitness summary. I went through all of the steps to set up Cardio Fitness and Health is not accessing VO2 Max data from the watch SE. In scrolling down to Cardio Fitness; Data Sources and Access; Data Sources there is None. The SE watch is not identified as the source. However in Heart Rate Data Sources and Access, my SE watch is identified as the source for the data. I do have historical walks which are recorded from the Watch SE on Health and Activity and this should be the data that Cardio Fitness is looking to access.

I have completed all: software updates on phone and watch, shut downs restarts; and re paired in Bluetooth but, no changes. This leads me to believe Watch SE can't do Cardio Fitness, however that doesn't make sense as my older Series 4 watch can provide this data.

Does anyone have any idea what and if there is a fix here?

Thanks

RD

I Thought I would update this thread.

I spent 1.5 hrs with three different people from Apple support yesterday. They included the first contact and supervisor and onto specialists for Health and Fitness. No one had dealt with this problem. I was contacted by support at end of day for follow up. The suggestion to recalibrate the watch during the next outdoor walk which had to be at least 20 minutes should rectify the problem. I completed this today as instructed and it did not work. So.... problem not solved. Each Apple support person has been very good in trying.

My ticket is still open and I will update this after my next scheduled contact. Cheers

I’m Updating this thread. It looks like Apple support has left me hanging. They’ve not contacted me back so it looks like I’m on my own.

In the last discussion with Mark at Apple support he identified that the watch series 6 SE had the cardio fitness capability. I don’t think so.

I will not update this thread unless Apple support contacts me.
