I recently received my MacBook Air M1 and bought a wireless mouse with a USB-C connector as well as a usb side. When I connect the mouse with the usbc to my MacBook the mouse is never detected but when connected through the usb to my chrome book the mouse has no problem. Does the MacBook M1 support wireless USB-c mouses or could it be an issue with the usbc connector of the mouse instead?

What did the manufacturer of the mouse say?
Menu mouses have nano receivers, where you have a small usb or usb c and that communicates with the mouse without any wires. I want to make sure if the MacBook Air M1 supports mouses connected through the usbc ports.
I have yet to contact the manufacturer; the reviews claim to use the usbc without trouble, including in MacBook products, thus I wanted to make sure the M1 was able to connect to this type of mouse as well.
If it is wireless why are you connecting using the USB-C? is this Bluetooth or wireless as you stated?
Update: Im just going to buy a Bluetooth one, the usb-c port worked on dell so I’m not sure what might be causing it to not be recognized by my MacBook
